T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2023 Honda Odyssey

Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today we're taking a look and installing the Tekonsha T-One trailer wiring harness, which is a 4-pole, on a 2023 Honda Odyssey. Having a hitch on a vehicle is great because it really opens up to what you can do with your vehicle. And chances are you might pull a trailer and if that's the case, you're gonna want to pick up some 4-pole trailer wiring harness. That way you can transmit the light signals from your towed vehicle to your trailer, keeping you safe and legal. And your 4-pole trailer wiring harness will give you your running lights, your turn signals, and brake lights. more

Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2016 Honda Odyssey

Hey guys, it's Jake here with Etrailer, today we have a 2016 Honda Odyssey, and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the CURT four-pole wiring harness to tow trailers. This four-pole wiring harness is a great accessory to add to your Honda Odyssey. If you've already got a hitch receiver, I'd highly recommend adding a four-pole wiring harness, just in the odd chance that you may have to tow a trailer or if you're like the owner of this vehicle, they're wanting to pull a small camper. We're actually gonna be pairing this with our ETBC7L kit. That is a seven-pole kit with just the power wire run so that they can use the CURT Echo, plug it in, and they can tow their camper with it. Adding a four-pole wiring harness is going to essentially unleash your hitch, You're not only gonna be stuck with cargo carriers or bike racks in your hitch, you're gonna be able to pull trailers with it, so that you can safely get the lighting functions from your Honda Odyssey to the trailer to let others know what your intentions are on the road. more

Tekonsha T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness Installation - 2023 Honda Odyssey

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Tekonsha four pole custom trailer wiring harness on a 2023 Honda Odyssey. Adding a hitch to any vehicle is definitely a great way to get your bike racks or cargo carriers around but a lot of times we don't think about when we need to tow in. Sometimes life brings us something where we do need to hook up to a trailer and go, and that's fine to have the hitch but if you don't have wiring, then your light sequences are not gonna work. So you're gonna be driving around illegally and unsafely. So adding a four-pole trailer wiring harness is a great addition to any hitch just in case you ever need to use it. And this one being a four pole means that you're gonna get your running lights, your turn signals and brake lights transmitted to your trailer. more

Hi there, Honda owners. Today, on your 2023 Honda Odyssey, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install CURT's four-pole flat trailer connector vehicle wiring harness. And this is what our wiring looks like when it's installed. You'll just store in the little compartment over here in the back. And when you're ready to use it, you'll drape it down out the back and it'll just kind of hang down here. It'll pinch between the weather stripping here at the back of the vehicle and that's gonna be fine. more

Hopkins 4-Pole Flat Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Installation - 2013 Honda Odyssey

Hi there, Honda owners. Today on your 2013 Honda Odyssey we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Hopkins 4 Pole Flat Trailer Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness. It is designed to stay inside the vehicle when not in use, just down here in your compartment area. But when you are ready to use it, it will drape down over the back here, just make sure that you're avoiding the striker here at the middle, and when you shut your liftgate, it'll pinch it between the leather stripping, which won't cause any damage to it 'cause it'll hold it in place and allow you to be able to plug in your wiring. This is kind of the best case scenarios, keeping it inside the vehicle because it'll protect it from rust and corrosion when not in use. A lot of harnesses are routed to the outside and when they hang down here onto the bottom, even though they have a dust cap or something to protect 'em from rust and corrosion, it does still occur. more

This one here is the Tekonsha and this will be for those of you that do not have a tow package on your Odyssey and then these two are for the vans that do have a tow package. So, this one here is a Curt and this one here is a Tekonsha. These two are by far gonna be the most popular almost every single one of these vans that I've seen in here personally, do have the quote-unquote tow package and just because you don't have a trailer hitch from the factory doesn't mean that you don't have the tow package wiring, but, you know, before we go any further I figured we'd just kind of go over, how to even find that out. more

Let's take a look at the wiring harness. Don't see it here, also, you won't see it here. And that's the glory of this wiring kit 'cause it's all tucked back in here, and whenever you need to hook up to a trailer, you will have your harness stored back here, and you can pull it out, drape this down, and you'll be ready to tow. When you drape it over, it's perfectly safe to put it on the weatherstripping and have it close on there, you're just gonna wanna make sure it's not on the actual latch itself as that could pinch and damage the wires. more

And then when we're not using it, we can actually easily just store this back inside in the vehicle. Now, that's actually ideal for those of you who are not towing every day, because it's gonna make sure that we keep the trailer connector nice and protected, we don't have to worry about any water getting in there, corroding our circuits, and causing any lighting issues. So when we're not using it, we can just coil it up here, and just store it in one of our spare storage compartments, just like so. more

Speaker 1: Today, on our 2013 Honda Odyssey, we're going to be installing CURT's vehicle-wiring harness with a four-pole flat trailer connector, part number C56378. Speaker 2: This four-pole wiring is going to provide your trailer with all the necessary lighting. This includes your left-turn signal, right-turn signal, tail lamps, and brake lamps, so you'll be DOT compliant in all states. The control box receives its own power from the vehicle and has a fuse-protected circuit. This way, it doesn't draw directly from your vehicle's tail lamp circuits. So, in case your trailer has a fault on its circuits, it's not going to affect your vehicle's circuits. It has an included dust cap to help keep out any dirt and debris. When you're using your harness, it just drapes out over the rear bumper, and it gets squished between the weather stripping. This isn't going to cause any damage to the wiring, as there is some play room there. And when you're done using it, you can just fold it up and store it inside your vehicle. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2010 Honda Odyssey

Today on our 2010 Honda Odyssey, we'll be installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector, part number C56161. When we want to hook up to our trailer, all we got to do is drop down some of our wiring here, set it to the side of our trunk latch and we'll close our hatch on down. Take our dust cover off, hook up to our trailer and we're ready to tow safely. When we arrive to our destination, we can unhook from our trailer, replace the dust cover here and we have plenty of room to make it all the way back to our trailer and have plenty of wire to spare. We don't have to worry about it being too short and we have plenty of wire to make our connection. Once we have actually hooked it to our trailer, gone to where we we're going and unhooked our trailer, we will pull the dust cover back on, bundle our wire all up and we can stick it to the side of our trunk where it's out of the way and it's also out of the elements, so we don't have to worry about weather contaminating and causing corrosion inside our wiring harness. This is what our wiring harness consists of. We have our connector here, which will plug into the factory tow package on our vehicle and then a ground wire here, which will attach to the vehicle's body with a self tapping screw. more

Today on our 2016 Honda Odyssey, we'll be taking a look at and showing you how to install the T-One vehicle wiring harness with 4-Pole flat trailer connector, part number 118521. When it's not in use, you're just going to bundle it up. You can actually use the cover to help hold your wires together and just leave it down inside this trough here. When you are ready to use it, pull out the amount that you're going to need to reach down to your trailer. Now when you're laying it over this edge here, you want to make sure you stay away from the latch so you don't pinch your wires and cause any damage. It'll be fine to go over top of this weather strip, just pinch it in there and hold it and move it around. We can close our hatch over top of it and it will be ready to hitch it up to our trailer. more

Trailer Wiring Harness Installation - 2006 Honda Odyssey

On this 2006 Honda Odyssey, we're going to review and install the current T-connector vehicle wiring harness with a 4-pole flat trailer connector, part number C56161. With this part number, this is what you receive. This is of course our main wire harness right here, this whole assembly. Starting from this end, this will plug into the pre-existing port on our van. This ring terminal is for ground to go to sheet metal or possible existing ground wire. This fuse holder with the fuse, which goes to our module. Now, how our module works is pretty simple. Basically, it takes the input from the van on this side, and this takes battery power from this white red wire here that goes through the fuse panel. This gets 12-volt power from the battery through fuse holder right here. What the box does is takes the signal that comes in, copies that signal, and then sends it out to the wire harness and to the 4-pole connector that goes out to your trailer. more
